A part time or extra income to rely on!

May 10, 2008

Every working American works to earn income. We all expect to get paid for the work we do each day. Most of us are truly committed to our jobs and feel that it is a vital part of our life and support for our family.

However more and more people are looking for ways to increase income, improve family time and enjoy more of life. Recently one of my friends reminded me of the career and work I use to do and how on the GO I was all the time. Neither of us could believe the dramatic difference in me then and now.

I am a stay at home working mom. I had NEVER considered leaving my corporate job or closing my mediation practice until I ran into a friend that showed me a different lifestyle. One that I deserved but thought I had to work YEARS to provide and have. I must say that I was wrong. I accused her of trying to get me to quit my job and live on dimes. I even said that she was in a phony stay at on business that couldn’t possibly net her that type of lifestyle. I was wrong. I have never wanted to be a part of a home based business or an MLM multi level company. If fact most of them we scams and illegal and I couldn’t risk my career.

When I began to observe and compare this company to those out there i.e make-up, vitamins and so on I knew something was different about the integrity and business model of this company. First of all every one in it receive some benefit and or pay. Secondly there was no requirement of inventory and investments that didn’t make since to me. Thirdly, my entire family was benefiting. SOON I was sharing the concept and getting paid every single month.

It may NOT be for everyone, after all its not rocket science and it’s not sexy nor is it appealing to live healthy to all people. But if you have ANY questions in your mind if you should try this company and business you are probably RIGHT! Call me today 713-875-5789 to let me show you how I did it and completely replaced my income in two years. While being at home for my family and enjoying more of life.

Things so tight even lunch and dinner stress you out?

May 6, 2008

As a stay at home mom I often think about plans for the week around lunch and dinner for the family. It’s just the roll that I decided to take on as a mom. I admit often I wish it were my husband’s job to think about those things on top of all the other things he does to provide for our family.

I would have never thought that keeping food around the house and on the table was such a big deal because we have always been big on eating out if I didn’t feel up to cooking or making meals. Well over the past few months after having a baby just a year ago and another on the way, I soon realized that we needed to cut back. I needed to start planning ahead and making meals to stay in more with the kids and save money.

I just didn’t think that grocery and gas would completely stress me out when it came to lunch and dinner because I would normally stop in the store and grab a quick meal if I didn’t want to deal with FROZEN meat at home or if I forgot to plan a meal. But it is obvious to me now how things trickle down and one thing impacts the other. Because of the prices in the store and at the pump we have had to watch what we buy and how often we eat out.

With that realization more than ever I know that my home based business is the TICKET. I can make what ever amount of money I decide I need each month I am NOT limited by my hours or the wage or salary. That to me is a solution that makes since. So often we as moms are stressed about things that are small to most people in the world but to a mom it is an added monthly cycle! We can loose it over the smallest of details around the house because we feel obligated and responsible and every body is depending on us.

If you are a mom who’s tired of being in the STRESS mode and you need extra income, or you are fed up with being stressed out over small details such as making lunch, dinner or even going to the store. Let me help you simplify your life today!

I can show you how!

I want to do something that makes sense for my entire family!

April 21, 2008

I was recently on the phone with a dear friend that kept saying she could not wait on the stimulus package check to get some things she really wanted. She was due $1500 or so from the government in May. She is a well educated and successful mom that recently came home with a baby. I thought it was odd for her to say that because she is always into something that brings in some cash flow or so I thought.

When I delved deeper about what she had been doing for money and how some of those things were going she said, “Oh there okay, but you know those things don’t make money for you if you aren’t out and working them and buying the inventory to sell.”  I immediately reminded her that all work from home doesn’t require that. I mentioned that I have had a steady income for the past two years, every single month. I too have had a baby in the last year and will have another in May. My checks have continued to come under ALL circumstances!

When it comes to working from home it should simply MAKE CENTS! I have contributed to my family’s income in some way since my husband and I were married simply because I could and I wanted to be able to do things that I want to do. So many women are caught up in the sexy business that sounds pretty and fun (ie make up, cooking, travel ect.)  I have been with a company that has produced not only benefits in income but also in terms of day to day health and well being of my entire family. NO make up, or travel business has really benefited a whole family in that way as far as I am concerned. I don’t have to inventory things that can’t be used by the WHOLE family nor do I have to buy things and resale them or even get people to buy things they don’t need with money they don’t have!

A stay at home job is more than just making money it has to make sense for the family. Moms are already so busy with duties and other small details that they shouldn’t have to worry about next months inventory or other sales to keep an income coming.

Try something that will change your situation today and in the future without all the hassle! Call me if you want to make a difference next month in you income.

Could My Child Benefit From Allergy Shots?

April 15, 2008

An allergy occurs when the body’s immune system has an exaggerated reaction to a usually harmless substance. The most common causes of allergies are dust mites, molds, pollen, pets with fur or feathers, stinging insects, and some kinds of foods. The body reacts to the substance by releasing chemicals, one of which is called histamine. The results of this reaction may include runny nose, congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, and ear itching or popping. Asthma may occur in some children.

The best way to prevent or control your child’s allergy symptoms is to help him or her avoid the allergen, the substance that triggers the allergy. An allergist is a doctor trained to identify which substances are causing your child’s allergy, and he or she can treat and help you prevent your child’s allergy symptoms.

One way an allergist can determine the causes of your child’s allergies is by testing your child’s reaction to specific allergens by skin or blood tests. Based on the test results, your child’s doctor may recommend treatments including medications as well as a plan for avoiding exposure to allergens. If control of your child’s environment and treatment with basic allergy medications are not successful, allergy shots may be recommended as the next step.

My daughter Ania took allergy shots for 2 years off and on we were taking her to the clinic twice a week. The thing I noticed most is that she had dryer sinuses. She would often have a dry cough as well. It is TRUE that many of the allergies we face today are chemical related. These chemicals are triggered by everyday household cleaners and products. The most noted thing for me out of the above article is to change and or control the environment in your home. Treating allergies everyday is a must and using natural ingredients that enhance personal and environmental wellness really helps.

We stopped using chemicals and replaced personal care items with natural ingredients and our allergies were under control. My husband no longer takes the decongestants that impact his heart, he was taking them daily. My kids no longer take over the counter meds and visit the doctor three to four times a year. Is this just coincidence? I don’t think so. OUR results are real and are proven more each year that we DON’T take allergy shots and meds.

Why take Chances with Allergies and Asthma

April 5, 2008

I know a lot of people that have recently started to pay attention to the trigger from allergies and asthma over the past few years. It is now a movement when it relates to chemicals and toxins in the home. I found it to be ABSOLUTE truth with my three children because they were really suffering badly. When we changed the products that I used to clean we literally stopped taking over the counter antihistamines… and prescription meds. I’m not saying they have not use. But in most cases they are over rated and over used by moms and dads and have serious side affects. Many kids take them DAILY which is not good for them at all. Some of the antihistamines such as Cingular causes depression in adults imagine what’s happening with kids, ADD, ADHD and so on….
Yes I did become an advocate for the company I use and I establish accounts for the products to be purchased. But unlike many of the things out there now that people buy to sell or push on others to just to make money. I am a believer by personal experience and I’ve helped make a difference for kids in school and at home by making their parents aware of the alternatives!

Asthma In Children Linked To Cleaning Products And Air Freshener Use During Pregnancy

March 21, 2008

As an expectant mom if I knew then (with my other three kids) what I know now, I would have made better choices! I have four children of which the last one was born without any of the health concerns such as allergies, asthma and skin problems as the previous three. I have since become a GOING GREEN mom and I am expecting my fifth child in June. Paying attention to the things that impact my family’s health right from inside our home has made the difference in healthy children versus unhealthy big kids. My son suffered badly from runny eyes and nose, my daughters had really bad skin problems along with allergies that caused problems in shcool. When I decided to look more seriously at the things we had problems with it had more to do with the cleaning products we used than you can imagine.

Expectant mothers who use a lot of household cleaning products may increase the risk of their child developing asthma”, the Daily Mail reports. The article says that researchers claim to have found a link between wheezing and asthma in young children, and their mothers’ use of cleaning products such as bleach and air freshener during pregnancy, or shortly after birth. The study found that mothers increased the risk of their child developing persistent wheezing by the age of seven by up to 41%.

This research shows an association between the use of household chemicals during pregnancy and asthma in the child. The study has limitations, as there are many causes and triggers for asthma. These include heritability from parents and environmental factors such as smoking, animal allergies, pollen, dust mites or foods, medications, infections, emotions, stress, and cold weather. The authors have taken some of these into account in their analyses.

The study did not consider the ingredients in household chemicals in detail and expectant parents should not be too concerned by the reports. Furthermore, parents from a clean household should not think that they are responsible for their child’s asthma. Cleaning products should be used in well-ventilated rooms by everyone anyway. More research is needed to understand better the complex relationship between exposure to chemicals and asthma risk.

Where did the story come from?

J Henderson from the University of Bath and colleagues from Brunel University and the University of Aberdeen carried out the research. The study was funded by the UK Medical Research Council, Wellcome Trust, and University of Bristol. The study was published in the peer-reviewed medical journal: European Respiratory Journal.

Is Your Child’s Toothpaste Toxic?

March 10, 2008

For all those parents concerned over another wave of toy recalls, here’s another worry to add to your list: toys from China aren’t the only children’s products to pose a threat to kids. According to a new investigation by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), children are routinely exposed to chemicals that have never been tested for their effects on kids. Where are these chemicals hiding? In common shampoos, toothpastes, and lotions used by children every day.

The EWG surveyed thousands of parents to find out which personal care products kids used most, then cross-referenced the results with their database of widely used cosmetics ingredients and their associative health risks. Using data from various government agencies, as well as international databases, the EWG made a startling find: not only do most skin care, oral hygiene products, and hair care products contain potentially unsafe ingredients, but the FDA does not require studies or testing to ensure the safety of these products before they hit the market.

Although this is true of all personal care products, the report points out that children are more sensitive to toxins and harsh chemicals than adults. “Children’s bodies are still growing and developing,” says EWG staff scientist Rebecca Sutton, Ph.D. “They’re going to be more sensitive to chemical assault.” And according to the report, things like BHA, Oxybenzone, DMDM Hydantoin, and Triclosan are on the offensive, making the list for links to hormone disruption, brain damage, and cancer.

But according to Mary Williams, a leading pediatric dermatologist, these chemicals can sound a lot scarier than they really are. “I think what you have to recognize is that many of these things when they’re present in skin products they’re present in tiny quantities,” she says, pointing out that although it’s easy to imagine harmful chemicals being absorbed through the skin, “the skin is bioengineered to keep things out.” Her advice? “The simpler the product is, the less you need to be concerned about this.”

Parents shouldn’t feel like they need a chemistry degree just to shop for their children, but they should know just what’s in the products they’re buying. Recommending that parents look for the Green Seal or EcoLogo mark if they want eco-friendly alternatives.

As a mom I have found that the process of finding simple products and less fussy ingredients don’t have to become a hassle. I simply switched stores and I shop for products that replaced the other brands I was buying. All of the products used in our home are now from ONE company that made going green and using eco friendly consumables simple. You can make your life simple too. Go GREEN!

What’s with Going Green?

March 6, 2008

Interest in being green has moved across the country— it’s no longer for the wacky earth lovers in garden shoes and tree huggers the camp in wildlife all summer long.

According to Matt Golden whose company performs environmental audits on homes, which test for energy efficiency and indoor air quality, and other factors, going green is in our future and now a way of life.

There are plenty of reasons why focusing on the environment has become so popular lately. Some attribute it to AL Gore and his documentary, others point to growing body of Green building standards among realtors. My husband recently became one the first Eco Broker/ Realtors in the Houston Area www.buysellorleasehomes.com
Many builders have followed suit by making extreme changes in the building process and materials used. Other factors that are critical to some are energy prices and every day cost of living in the home.

But what about your health in the home? What about the things that Matt searches for that cause the indoor air quality to prove hazardous to many families… ?

Much of the exposure to chemicals and toxins that enter the blood stream are found in our home environment. Yet most Americans fail to read the backs of bottles, cans and various other daily used house hold cleaners. These things ultimately cost us our health with allergies, sinuses, headaches, infertility, cancer, add, and autism to name a few.

How much can you afford to spend on your new home? How much does it take to remove the chemicals from your home? I assure you that it’s a fraction of the cost but it will save your life and allow you to live in your dream home!

Try going green today to make a difference!

Study says many use chemicals linked to fertility problems

February 26, 2008

Dozens of common household cleaning products contain hidden toxic chemicals linked to fertility disorders in lab animals, according to data gathered by a women’s research group. Jane Kay, Chronicle Environment Writer

A type of glycol ether is frequently found in popular cleaning products such as Windex Aerosol, Formula 409, Lemon Fresh Pine-Sol and Simple Green Purpose Cleaner, says the report released by Women’s Voices for the Earth, a Montana- based nonprofit working to eliminate or reduce toxic chemicals in the home.

It is difficult for consumers to know whether their favorite cleaner contains the chemical because manufacturers aren’t required to list it on the label. Neither the state nor the federal government regulates indoor air pollution, for instance how the cleaners degrade the air inside the home. People exposed to high levels of EGBE for several hours have reported nose and eye irritations, headaches and vomiting, metallic taste in the mouths and throats.

As a mom I can’t imagine some of the struggles experienced by women today that desire to have children. It’s more than I can bear to think of not having been blessed with my own four wonderful children and another on the way. Birth is sacred and it is something that every woman that desires it should experience. When reading this information the first thought that came to mind was the possible concerns we cause ourselves and our daughters when we use and allow them to use these harmful chemicals.

Many of us are just use to using harsh chemicals to clean it’s what we were taught. Mixing and using toxic products that are suppose to get the place really clean, right? Most of them are causing more damage than we can imagine to our family and to us.

There are truly healthier alternatives that work. You may not believe it but there are better products to clean your bathrooms and kitchens than the traditional ones you have used for years. I can show you how to covert your home to a safer healthier clean environment that can pass down generations!

A life that is Green and Simple

February 18, 2008

For although they have improved over the past decade, cleaning chemicals may still contain ingredients that can be harmful to the environment after use and may also pose unnecessary health risks to home occupants. Furthermore, they may be packaged in a way that wastes limited resources and takes up valuable landfill space.

We provide here a list of cleaner traits to look for and avoid, emphasizing those that a consumer can check from the product label off the shelf.

Many of the most important attributes, however, may not be apparent from the label and may require a call to the manufacturer or other source of information. For example, if a manufacturer does not claim that a product is biodegradable, it would be impossible for consumers to determine whether it is or is not without a knowledge of the ingredients and their chemistry.

For each characteristic on the list, we briefly indicate its significance and how a consumer might determine whether a product has that characteristic.

Traits to look for:

1. When necessary (see item #2 below in “Traits to avoid”) Citrus- or hydrogen peroxide-based sanitizers or disinfectants rather than chlorine-based ones.

Generally, a citrus-based or hydrogen peroxide formula has less potential to harm the environment because chlorine can form organic compounds that are toxic even at low doses.

The product label will list the active ingredient.
2. Cleaning products that can be diluted with water from the cold tap rather than hot water.

The energy required to heat water has significant environmental impacts in terms of use of fossil fuels, air and water pollution, etc.

Directions for use may or may not indicate water temperature to be used.
3. Product packaging that is minimal and recyclable.

Unnecessary packaging wastes resources and fills up landfill space. Avoid multi-layer packaging.

The recyclability of a package is often indicated on the bottom of a bottle, with the chasing arrows symbol; plastics labeled 1 (PET) or 2 (HDPE) are recyclable in many areas, whereas 3 (PVC) is not.
4. Biodegradable products

Biodegradable products decompose in the environment into minerals and carbon dioxide and water. Products that do not biodegrade linger in the environment and may get taken up by other organisms or cause harm in their active form.

Many manufacturers make the claim that their product is biodegradable, but lack of such a claim does not mean the product is or is not biodegradable.

Finding the these types of products can be made simple when you choose one company to provide all of the benefits of going green, plus having them delivered to your front door. It just makes life GREEN and SIMPLE!
